Espinaler was born in 1896, when Miquel Riera y Prat moved from his farmhouse, near ‘Espinal’ bridge in Argentona, to settle in Vilassar de Mar (Barcelona). He opened Tavern Espinaler in the town by the seaside, where wine and drinks were offered. The Tavern had the typical Mediterranean atmosphere: small and cozy with a rustic and warm ambience. To this day, after five generations, this ambience continues to thrive at Tavern Espinaler.
We are very proud to carry this line of tins and look forward to growing their offerings in the shop. For now we have selected two that stood out right away.
Razor clams- We are huge fans of razor clams and Espinaler's are some of the best. We prefer these used in a ponchos style to enjoy their freshness.
Bonito Pickle Sauce- Think of this as tuna escabeche. Lay this on some crusty bread with fresh herbs and you got yourself a meal!
