We have procured two tinned tuna from the Berthe collection. A classic tuna and olive oil as well as a citrus scented tuna and olive oil. Honestly, you cant go wrong with either.
Berthe is a company that stands for greatness. They are a brand under the Ramirez Company which was founded in 1853. It is widely considered the oldest operating tinned fish company in the world. The company have been long time innovators as well as sticklers for greatness. Those two things have been the reason they have lasted over 150 years. Every tin is hand packed and tinned with the best ingredients from around Portugal. In my opinion, the Berthe brand has that little something extra to it. Almost French in its refinement more than the simple origins most tins come from.
